About This Kids Piano Class
Throughout this course we will explore reading music, playing with two hands, note names, and rhythms! Parents are encouraged to let their kids be independent in this group class. Students will work at keyboard workstations with headphones, as well as in groups to create and share music with one another. Although it isn’t required, having a keyboard or piano to practice on at home will make progress much easier!
Each week students will work through parts of their method book as a group, while teachers assist and address any problems individual students may have. This class isn't all about reading music though, we will also talk about warm ups, rhythms, different musical styles and more. Using games, group activities, and of course, our keyboards we will start to get a feel for what it takes to be a piano player!
If you aren't sure if your child is the right age for private lessons, this class is an excellent way to test the waters.
