Our Classes

At Collingswood Sound, we offer different group music class options for varying ages. No matter what class they join, we know that kids succeed when they are comfortable, confident, and having fun. We strive to cultivate that perfect learning environment in all of our classes with musical games, activities, exercises, and songs!

Keyboard Kids

Each week in this group piano class, our future rockstars will learn about music on a keyboard (provided by us), play musical games, explore singing and dancing to different time signatures, and gain exposure to different styles of music. We will also learn the basics of reading music and improvising in a fun and interactive group setting! Tuition fees cover the cost of the piano book we will use in class.

Bands/Ensembles

At Collingswood Sound, being in a band is not actually a class, but a real band experience guided by a professional musician/educator. Students will be placed in a band based on level, age, and experience with their instrument, and participating in a band is a great way for students to reach the next level of their musical abilities. The genre of the band will mainly be decided by those in the group, as we try to match like-minded musicians with one another to cultivate growth. Each week, students will prepare songs to rehearse for a performance, work together to choose repertoire, and gain the essential skills of successfully being a part of a band. Students that want to be a part of a band should be taking lessons outside of rehearsal, however this is not required. If you’re a Collingswood Sound student already and interested in bands, sign up below at a discounted rate.
