Private Lessons

A huge part of our music education philosophy is the idea that every musician brings something unique to the table, we want to know about you, your experiences, and your style so we can effectively pair you with students that will work out for the long run.

Since we offer a lot of options to our students, teachers that can also offer a lot of options typically have the easiest time building a studio with us. Musicians that can teach multiple instruments and have the ability to teach in-studio, in-home, and online lessons will find their schedules fill up quickly, especially during peak sign-up periods. If you teach one instrument and are only able to work from one location, that certainly doesn't disqualify you, we may just need exactly what you can offer!

Here's a breakdown of the 3 teaching locations offered to students:

  • In-Studio: lessons take place in one of our lesson rooms, certain lessons may be scheduled in a studio room depending on the student's interests.
  • In-Home: Teachers drive to a student's house and teach in a quiet area of the house. You will be compensated at a higher rate for in-home lessons to account for driving time, fuel, and wear-and-tear.
  • Online: Using a video chat service like Zoom, Skype, Facetime, etc. you will connect with the student at their lesson time. You can be at our studio while you teach an online lesson or in your home teaching space depending on the rest of your schedule.

Classes

We also offer classes for groups of up to 8 students. Our classes are only offered at our studio. Depending on the class, you should be able to play either piano, guitar, ukulele, or drums/percussion. In leading any class, the ability to sing and play simultaneously will be a huge asset. Classroom management skills are also a necessary skill to have. In most cases, teachers who lead group classes also teach private lessons although this is by no means a requirement.

Qualifications

  • A music degree (performance or teaching) from an accredited University.

The following are not required but will increase your likelihood of getting hired:
